What people are saying Observed
“Many of them don't. From my own experience, there is a low percentage of dentists who actually care about patients, and those are mostly either curious students or just people who haven't been corrupted by greed over time. I'm living in Lisbon, Portugal, have an academic degree, and started a purposeful journey to find "a good dentist" about 15 years ago. “Pay attention to what? I am genuinely ignorant. I see a dentist for like 90 seconds at a time. The vast majority of my experience is with hygienists. I hate finding a new dentist. It’s the only medical specialist where I walk into an office and fear I’ve got some moron performing real medical work on me. It really does feel like a lot are just winging it. I would love to know what to look for when choosing a good vs bad dentist.”
