“Improve Navigation in Long Conversations on the ChatGPT Mobile App. I’d like to suggest two features that could significantly improve the user experience on the ChatGPT mobile app, particularly for users who maintain long conversations. 1. A Side-Scrolling Navigation Bar Please consider implementing a slim, draggable navigation bar along the side of the conversation screen. Users could drag it up or down to navigate quickly through a long conversation instead of having to scroll manually through hundreds or even thousands of messages. 2. Quick Jump-to-Top and Jump-to-Bottom Buttons Please consider adding a small floating button that allows users to jump directly to the beginning or the end of a conversation with a single tap. “Organize Recent Chats by Day Instead of One Endless List. I think one of the biggest issues with ChatGPT’s sidebar is how the Recent section organizes conversations. As you use ChatGPT more frequently, it becomes an increasingly long list that’s difficult to navigate. I’d love to see conversations automatically grouped by day, with each date having its own collapsible section. Here’s why I think this makes sense: Our lives naturally unfold day by day. Although these are separate conversations, they’re all connected to that particular day’s experience. When I want to revisit them later, I’m more likely to remember the day or experience than the exact conversation title. My suggestion: Automatically group conversations under their respective dates. Make each day collapsible to reduce sidebar clutter. Allow users to optionally rename a day (e.g., “Saturday — Hiking Trip”). Keep the current sidebar layout available for users who prefer it. I think this would make ChatGPT feel more intuitive and organized without requiring users to manually ”
