“OAuth unavailable for custom MCP plugin in ChatGPT Business. Hi, everyone I’m trying to create a custom MCP plugin in a ChatGPT Business workspace as owner but OAuth is unavailable. When I open admin console → Plugin → Create MCP plugin and I immediately see: “OAuth settings are not available in this environment.” The message appears before I enter any MCP server URL , so it does not appear to be related to the MCP endpoint itself. Here is what I have confirmed: ChatGPT Business workspace Tested as both Owner/Admin Tested on ChatGPT web (Chrome) I do not see Connected Data or related to plugin settings under Workspace settings → Permissions & Roles Has anyone else with a ChatGPT Business workspace encountered the same issue? If anyone is currently able to use OAuth with a custom MCP app in ChatGPT Business, could you please share: Any information from someone who has successfully enabled OAuth in a ChatGPT Business workspace would be greatly appreciated. “Bug: New custom plugin flow not working anymore in ChatGPT Business workspace. Environment Surface: Web Browser or app version: Affected feature and model, if relevant: Create MCP Plugin/Custom Plugin in ChatGPT Business Workspace Bug In ChatGPT Business Workspace settings, when I click on Plugins, I get forwarded to admin.openai.com/workspace/{id}/plugins I want to add a a custom MCP server, and click on “Add”, then on “Create MCP plugin”. A popup opens with “New custom plugin”. The problem is now when I select “OAuth” as Authentication it says “OAuth setup is unavailable in this environment.” and “Retry”. But when I click on “Retry” it reloads the Plugin popup and displays the same error again. Since a few days, I can’t add custom MCP servers anymore in ChatGPT business workspace. I used to be able to do that in https://chatgpt.com/admin/apps or https://chatgpt.com/admin/plugins But both pages now forward to the admin.openai.com page where this OAuth error occurs. The OAuth error occurs no matter if the fields for custom name, description and connection are filled in and the checkbox for “I understand and want to continue” are selected or not. Reproduction Steps or a minimal exam”
